PMC’s new policy to curb clutter by political banners
The official body has allotted 100 locations for displaying political and cultural banners
In the new advertising policy, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Pune Smart City Corporation Limited (PSCDCL), have finalized 100 places to install political and cultural advertisements. This has been done to curb the clutter created by these installations. The size of the installations has also been defined at 10/10 feet. The standing committee is said to have approved the proposal to implement the new policy.
The report also states that advertisements related to these two themes will be considered as criminal offence if found at the any other locations. Consequently, a hefty fine will be imposed and the material structure confiscated by the corporation.
