Noida Metro line draws strong brand interest
Brands bag semi-naming rights for 3 metro stations, with Pari Chowk having gone for an annual fee of Rs 1.62 crore
Even as the Noida Metro line (Aqua Line) is being readied for launch in the coming month, at least three advertising brands, it is learnt, have already taken up the station semi-naming rights. While the metro authority has not revealed the names of the brands, the rights for three stations — Pari Chowk, Sector 137 and Sector Alpha-1 – have been acquired by the brands.
The semi-naming rights on Pari Chowk metro station has gone for an annual fee of Rs 1.62 crore, whereas the semi-naming rights on stations Sector 137 and Sector Alpha-1 have been acquitted for Rs 84 lakh and Rs 60 lakh, respectively. The corporation is undertaking such initiatives to increase its non-fare revenues.
The 29.7 km long section of Noida Metro will link Noida to Greater Noida, whereby the metro rail will cover as many as 21 metro stations out of which 15 metro stations fall in Noida area (from Sector 149 to Sector 71), while the rest of 6 metro stations are in Greater Noida, including, Delta 1, Alpha 1, Alpha 2, Pari Chowk and Knowledge Park 2 stations.
