Punjab Govt assessing industry feedback on draft ad policy
The final policy is expected to be out in a month’s time; which will be circulated among all the urban local bodies (ULBs) for implementation in their respective cities. The draft also has a clause for strict actions against the responsible officials if the policy isn’t implemented as per the bylaws
The Punjab Government has received quite a large number of suggestions from the varied media owners operating in different cities of Punjab on the recently released Punjab Outdoor Advertising Policy Draft 2018 which the authority is busy in assessing, shares an official in a conversation with Media4Growth. The official said the committee is analysing the responses and would consider them on merit.
The final policy is expected to be out in a month’s time; which will be circulated among all the urban local bodies (ULBs) for implementation in their respective cities. The draft also has a clause for strict actions against the responsible officials if the policy isn’t implemented as per the bylaws. “Yes, we will be taking strict actions against the ULBs if any loophole is found in the policy implementation from the respective corporation’s side”.
