Marico has appointed Vikram Karwal as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Vikram announced the leadership transition via a post on LinkedIn, confirming the end of his extensive tenure at Mondelez.
The move concludes Vikram’s significant 22-year continuous career at Mondelez (formerly Cadbury). In his announcement, Vikram acknowledged the pride and professional value derived from working for the organization behind brands like Cadbury Dairy Milk, and expressed thanks to his former colleagues and professional network.
Regarding his new role, Vikram stated his high regard for Marico, specifically citing the company’s “brands, sales and marketing excellence, growth strategy and ambition.” This appointment positions Vikram to lead Marico’s marketing function and is considered a key strategic acquisition designed to support the FMCG major’s accelerated growth trajectory. The transition marks a decisive shift from one leading consumer goods organization to another.
