Manish Bandlish resigns as Mother Dairy MD

In the interim period, the company announced that the responsibilities of the Managing Director will be managed by the Deputy Managing Director, operating under the guidance of the company board.

Manish Bandlish, the Managing Director of Mother Dairy, has resigned from his position, with his tenure officially concluding on November 30. Bandlish, who took on the role of MD in March 2021, is departing to pursue professional goals outside the company, according to a confirmation from the leading milk supplier. 

The resignation was effective upon the completion of his notice period on November 30. Mother Dairy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) and a significant player in the country’s dairy sector with a recent turnover of ₹17,500 crore, acknowledged his departure. The company expressed its sincere appreciation for his contributions to the firm’s growth during his tenure.

Mother Dairy is one of India’s major milk suppliers, distributing over 50 lakh litres of milk daily across various states, with the Delhi-NCR market accounting for more than 35 lakh litres per day. Beyond its primary dairy brand, the company also operates in edible oils under the ‘Dhara’ brand and horticulture items (fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables) under the ‘Safal’ brand.
