GymNation, a prominent fitness chain in the UAE, has unveiled a new Out-of-Home (OOH) installation in Dubai that it claims is the world’s heaviest permanent billboard. Created to promote the launch of its specialized Strongman training class, the massive advertisement was fabricated entirely from forty interlocked weight plates, resulting in a staggering one-tonne structure. This audacious stunt was designed in collaboration with the chain’s marketing team to capture attention and embody the intense nature of the new class, which is inspired by powerlifting disciplines like deadlifts and tire flips.

The visual element of the campaign is highly distinctive, immediately communicating strength. The billboard is not a traditional flat graphic, but a three-dimensional, modular structure built entirely out of forty interlocked weight plates. This gives the installation a raw, industrial, and undeniably heavy appearance, reinforcing the idea of a “Strongman” challenge.

This colossal, one-ton structure is amplified by a clever, punchy piece of copy that leans into the absurdity of the installation’s weight: “The only billboard that needs a spotter.” This witty messaging immediately connects the physical presence of the OOH medium with the brand’s core offering.

By utilizing such an exaggerated and physically demanding installation, GymNation successfully drove home the concept of strength and extreme fitness associated with its new Strongman class, which now runs weekly at its Mirdif location
