Comet lands on Myntra via activation in Mumbai

To mark the e-commerce debut of the culture-focused sneaker brand Comet, Myntra has executed an immersive OOH activation at Bandra, Mumbai. Moving away from traditional billboard advertising, the campaign uses a cinematic physical installation to simulate a “comet landing” in the city. 

The centerpiece of the activation is a large-format installation featuring textured surfaces, smoke effects, and a glowing core to mimic a meteorite strike. To bridge the gap between physical intrigue and digital commerce, the outer ring of the structure carries the message, “Comet has landed on Myntra,” providing a clear call to action for onlookers. 

This on-ground spectacle is designed to drive both high street recall and social media traction, aligning with Myntra’s strategy of using visually disruptive, “culture-first” experiences to introduce new-age brands to its Gen Z and millennial consumer base. The launch brings over 40 Comet styles to the platform, including an exclusive “X Lows Polaris” sneaker available only on Myntra.
