KEI Industries offers amenities to support Kumbh Mela
The brand has partnered with the UP government to provide better amenities and support at Prayagraj.
Leading cable and house wire manufacturer KEI Industries Ltd. has partnered with the UP state government to make the world’s largest religious congregation, the Mahakumbh 2019, a tension-free and safer mela for the 130 million people visiting it this year.
Among other initiatives, KEI Industries has installed 10 digital information kiosks to provide necessary information to visitors on the go. The kiosks present important information such as the Kumbh Mela map, ‘Aarti Sangrah’, train timings and ‘Prayagraj’s tourist spots, which are also displayed on the phone screens when the device is connected to the charging socket available at the kiosk. The brand is also providing 1000 life-jackets for pilgrims headed for the holy dip, besides supplying 100 barricades to the police department to manage the crowd and traffic smoothly. Additionally, it has also contributed 7000 windcheaters and 10,000 bags.
Speaking on the initiative, Anil Gupta, Chairman cum Managing Director- KEI Industries Ltd. Said, “Our company is fully committed to contributing to the government’s initiatives towards the Kumbh Mela. It is the biggest opportunity for us. We share a long association with the UP people and shall work to make the mela safer and smoother for the pilgrims.”
The company has also been engaged in digital dissemination of information about the Kumbh for the benefit of visitors.
