The campaign is executed on the route to Mahakaleshwar

Marking the occasion of Maha Shivratri, Hocco Ice Cream has rolled out a festival-themed out-of-home campaign in Ujjain, strategically placed along the route leading to the Shri Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple — one of the most significant pilgrimage sites associated with Lord Shiva.

The hoarding draws visual inspiration from the Tripundra, the sacred three horizontal ash lines symbolically worn by devotees of Lord Shiva. Recreated at scale, the design uses textured, chocolate-toned strokes to form the Tripundra motif, with an ice cream scoop placed centrally to complete the visual metaphor — blending religious symbolism with product imagery.

Accompanying the creative is the line: “Celebrating The OG God of Chill. Happy Mahashivratri.” The copy connects the spiritual calm and meditative associations of Lord Shiva with the brand’s core proposition of indulgence and coolness, using wordplay to bridge devotion and dessert.
