A peek into future with ‘Fursat’
OTT video releases add a dash of colour to OOH canvas
The short film ‘Fursat’, directed by Vishal Bharadwaj and starring Ishaan Khatter, Wamiqa Gabbi and Salman Yussuf Khan, stands tall on the OOH landscape with large format displays announcing its launch. The 30-minute film, depicting the story of a young man who can see the future through his magical device called ‘Doordarshak’, was shot exclusively on iPhone 14 Pro.
‘Fursat’, released on Disney+Hotstar, is among a series of new releases that are being showcased on the OOH canvas to build audiences.
Meanwhile, Prime Video has launched a campaign to promote its upcoming Shahid Kapoor starring ‘Farzi’, directed by Krishna DK and Raj Nidimoru. The series has Raashi Khanna, and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles along with Regina Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Cassandra, Kay Kay Menon, and Kubbra Sait.
The OTT video segment is expected to be a major category advertisers for Indian OOH, keeping in view the bullish growth outlook for OTT worldwide. Statista data indicates that revenues in this segment is expected to grow at 10.01% CAGR to reach a total of $5.51 billion by 2027.
