OOH industry in Gujarat needs to expand beyond ABSR (Ahmedabad, Baroda, Surat, and Rajkot), says Yagnik
Speaking on the theme “What makes Gujarat a key destination market for brands” at the 1st Gujarat Talks OOH Conference organised in Ahmedabad on December 16, Jayesh Yagnik, COO, MOMS Outdoor Media Solutions, pointed out the pluses of the Gujarat market like strategic location, fast growing economy, high industrialisation and the state’s connect with the brands that advertise. “Most interestingly, this is the state where most brands are created and consumed,” he said, adding that the Gujarat market attracted investments even in the times of economic slowdown.
Citing that the Gujarat market accounts for the 6th largest OOH spends, he said that OOH needs to expand beyond ABSR (Ahmedabad, Baroda, Surat, and Rajkot) and media inventory should increase in order to see that exponential growth.
Yagnik also said that the advent of a metro rail network in Ahmedabad and MDIC could catalyse OOH growth in the state.
