Kolhapur MC plans to unveil new ad policy to mop up more revenues
The corporation plans to net Rs 5 crore annually from outdoor advertising, although it has not earned even Rs 1 crore revenue in the last 5 years
Kolhapur Municipal Corporation is planning to revise its existing outdoor advertising policy implemented in 2013 with an aim to set higher ad tax revenue target in FY2018-19. The corporation plans to net Rs 5 crore annually from outdoor advertising, although it has not earned even Rs 1 crore revenue in the last 5 years.
As per the new policy to be unveiled soon, the municipal corporation will be inviting bids for leasing out several properties in public places for installation of new hoardings. The corporation is conducting a survey and hoardings on private hoardings will also be permitted under the new policy.
