Bhopal civic body steps up efforts to recover pending outdoor ad fee
There have been objections over the method of calculation of arrears, so a retired high court judge would be requested to for appointment as sole arbitrator in the matter, said the civic body head
It is learnt that Bhopal Municipal Corporation is opting for arbitration to recover the pending advertising fee from outdoor advertising firms operating in the city. A Times of India report puts the pending amount as Rs 150 crore, that includes the pending fee as well as interest charged upon the pending fee as per the rates fixed under collector guidelines.
Bhopal Municipal Corporation Commissioner Priyanka Das was quoted in the daily stating that “There have been objections over the method of calculation of arrears. A retired high court judge would be requested to for appointment as sole arbitrator in the matter”.
