Around 1,000 media units will be installed around the 11 villages
In the effort to increase the advertising revenues, Pune Municipal Corporation has permitted the installation of outdoor media units in 11 villages that have been brought into the city folds. These villages include Lohegaon, Shivane (Uttamnagar), Mundwa (remaining parts of Keshavnagar), Hadapsar (Sadesataranali), Shivane, Ambegaon (Khurda), Ambegaon (Budruk), Undri and Dhayari. Around 1,000 hoardings will be installed in 11 villages.
Confirming the news to Media4Growth, Tushar Daundkar, Deputy Commissioner, Sky Sign Department, PMC shared “Yes we have opened this opportunity and receiving satisfactory responses”. However, considering the compact scale of the project, instead of going for the tenders, the corporation has invited proposals from the media owners which will be scrutinised by the authority before granting the permissions.
