Group Chief Creative Officer for CreativeLand Asia, has joined as a Co-Jury Chairman for the OOH Advertising Awards (OAA) 2025. With a remarkably distinguished career spanning over two decades in advertising, Azazul brings extensive creative leadership and award-winning expertise to the OAA jury panel.
Azazul’s career began with Lintas Group in 2001, and since then, he has worked with top agencies including Bates, Publicis, Lowe, Mudra, McCann, Contract, and Mediamonks. His impressive portfolio includes crafting campaigns for major brands such as Nescafe, Coca-Cola, Nestlé Maggi, Domino’s Pizza, Dabur, Maruti Suzuki, Havells, ICICI Bank, Bajaj Auto, Star Plus, Milton, MP Tourism, and Rajasthan Tourism. Among his most celebrated works are the ‘Khushiyon ki home delivery’ and ‘Yeh hairishto ka time’ campaigns for Domino’s, award-winning Madhya Pradesh Tourism campaigns (acclaimed at Cannes, One Show, Spikes, D&AD), Titan Raga’s #FlauntYourFlaw, Rajasthan Tourism’s ‘Jaane Kya DikhJaaye’, the Satyamev Jayate campaign with Aamir Khan, Amazon’s Chonkpur Cheetahs, Tata Tea Premium Desh ki Chai, and India’s biggest hyper-local campaign.
In 2016, Azazul was elevated to Chief Creative Officer, Ogilvy South, becoming the youngest CCO in India at that time. Under his creative supervision, campaigns like MP Tourism’s ‘Toy’ won a D&AD Graphite pencil, while MP Tourism’s ‘The world most honest tourism film’ secured a Silver and a Bronze Cannes Lion in 2017-2018. In the same period, the Amazon IPL campaign ‘Chonkpur Cheetahs’ earned a Gold at Effies, a Blue Elephant at Kyoorious, and a Silver at APAC Effies. In 2018, Campaign magazine recognized him as the South Asia Creative Person of the Year (Runners Up). His work has consistently garnered numerous accolades, including Cannes Lions, D&AD, Kyoorious, Effies, APAC Effies, and WARC. His profound understanding of impactful advertising across diverse platforms will be invaluable to the OAA judging process.
The 19th OOH Advertising Convention (OAC) 2025, a landmark event for the Out-of-Home industry, is scheduled for July 18-19, 2025, at The Westin Mumbai Powai Lake. Under the compelling theme ‘Mapping a New OOH-scape,’ the convention will deep-dive into the future of the OOH medium, examining cutting-edge technological advancements, evolving consumer behaviors, and novel creative approaches shaping the sector. The event will culminate on the evening of July 19, 2025, with the prestigious OOH Advertising Awards (OAA) 2025 ceremony.
