Headline Shekhar Narayanaswami to highlight role of industry body and collaboration at OAC 2026

Shekhar Narayanaswami, Chairman of the Indian Outdoor Advertising Association (IOAA) and CEO of Times Innovative Media Ltd., will deliver a session titled ‘Making OOH Industry Body Work in a Fragmented Environment: The Challenges and Way Forward’ at OAC 2026.

As India’s OOH industry continues to expand across formats, cities, and stakeholders, the need for greater industry-wide collaboration and having an industry body representing a unified voice has become more critical than ever. Addressing this at the 20th edition of the OOH Advertising Convention (OAC) 2026 will be Shekhar Narayanaswami, Chairman of the Indian Outdoor Advertising Association (IOAA) and CEO of Times Innovative Media Ltd.

In his session, ‘Making OOH Industry Body Work in a Fragmented Environment: The Challenges and Way Forward,’ Shekhar will highlight the need for OOH industry to work together for collective progress, addressing common challenges, and creating a stronger framework for the future growth of the OOH medium.

With over 35 years of experience across diverse business functions, Shekhar brings a wealth of expertise spanning corporate strategy, business development, finance, investor relations, mergers and acquisitions, and supply chain management. His leadership journey has traversed some of India’s most respected organisations, giving him a unique perspective on building businesses and managing large-scale transformations.

As CEO of Times Innovative Media Ltd., Shekhar has played a significant role in shaping the company’s growth across transit, airport, and outdoor media businesses. In parallel, his position as Chairman of IOAA places him at the centre of several industry-wide initiatives focused on strengthening the OOH ecosystem and fostering greater alignment among stakeholders.

Beyond his current responsibilities, Shekhar serves on the boards of multiple organisations, including TIM Delhi Airport Advertising Ltd., TIM Global, and Times Catalyst, among others. Prior to joining the Times Group in 2008, he held senior leadership roles at Alghanim Industries, Bharti Group, Coca-Cola, Timex Watches, Sundaram Fasteners, and Tata Motors.

A qualified Chartered Accountant, Shekhar holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi. He is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Chennai University.

Scheduled for July 24-25, 2026, at The Grand Hyatt, Goa, OAC 2026 will bring together leaders from across media, marketing, technology, and advertising to explore the intersections shaping the future of the OOH industry.
