Lifestyle International launches Asia Pacific’s largest LED screen in Hong Kong

By M4G Bureau - October 27, 2017

The screen towers at approximately 19 meters by 72 meters—covering a surface area of nearly 1,400 sq. m. or over five full-size tennis courts

Lifestyle International Holdings has launched full HD outdoor LED screen (W 7,168 pixels x H 1,920 pixels) ‘CVISION’. Installed on Hong Kong’s SOGO Causeway Bay store’s façade and facing Hennessy Road, the screen towers at approximately 19 meters by 72 meters—covering a surface area of nearly 1,400 sq. m. or over five full-size tennis courts.

Powered by Mitsubishi Electric’s proprietary LED chip and Real BlackTM technology, CVISION produces vivid color output, achieving 50-percent deeper contrast than that of conventional LED screens. Custom designed, eave-like louvers allow for 80-degree vertical viewing angle (nearly double that of conventional screens) in order to minimize contrast degradation and maximize street-level visibility. Equipped with environment-reactive sensors, the LED screen automatically adjusts its light and audio output in response to changing light condition and ambient sound.

With its unparalleled quality, size, and iconic location, CVISION will be a powerful communication platform of the future. The high resolution output and flexible back-end system will allow CVISION to showcase brand campaigns as well as innovative digital content. Mitsubishi Electric’s award-winning Diamond Vision® screen offers different display formats, interactive capabilities, live-feed streaming, and other bespoke media solutions. The display quality and versatile media system promises to maximise advertising value and impact in order to address ever-changing market demands.

Located at one of the busiest intersections in the world, CVISION will become an integral part of Hong Kong’s community. Alfred Cheng, Head of Sales & Marketing stated, “Since its inception in 1985, SOGO Hong Kong, the city’s largest department store, has become an important cultural landmark in Causeway Bay and a must-go retail destination for tourists and citizens alike. The launch of CVISION further cements Hong Kong’s status as a world-class metropolis and demonstrates our relentless push to innovate and adapt in the digital age.”
