Sonal Kabi elevated as Director and Head of Marketing at Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios – APAC & ANZ
Sonal previously served as the Director and Head of Marketing for India, and she shared news of her elevation via LinkedIn. She first joined Prime Video in 2024 following a tenure as Director of Marketing at Netflix.
Amazon Prime Video has announced the promotion of Sonal Kabi to the position of Director and Head of Marketing for APAC and ANZ. In this expanded role, she will oversee marketing strategies for both Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios across the Asia-Pacific and Australia-New Zealand regions.
Sonal previously served as the Director and Head of Marketing for India, and she shared news of her elevation via LinkedIn. She first joined Prime Video in 2024 following a tenure as Director of Marketing at Netflix.
Her history with Amazon is extensive, spanning nearly six years in various leadership capacities. Sonal has previously held roles such as Lead of Originals for Amazon Prime, Head of Title Marketing for Prime Video, and Head of Marketing for Amazon miniTV.
Beyond her time at Amazon and Netflix, Sonal has built a diverse professional background with organizations including Shuttl, McDonald’s, Star TV Network, Leo Burnett, and Lowe and Partners Worldwide. An alumnus of the Xavier Institute of Management (XIM Bhubaneswar) and Modern High School, Kolkata, Sonal brings a wealth of cross-industry experience to her new regional mandate.
