The manufacturing unit is expected to reduce the importing cost of LED Display hardware from the abroad

Ösel Tech recently operationalized its state-of-the-art LED display manufacturing plant in Greater Noida, UP. The technology player manufactures a wide range of LED display screens for different applications covering indoor, outdoor and semi-outdoor locations with varied requirements. The Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, Mr. Pratap Chandra Sarangi, inaugurated Ösel’s new LED display manufacturing plant.

According to the company, “The operationalization of this plant is a major step toward self-reliance of a critical product segment that will revolutionize large format digital display communication in India. This is a major development in the out of home (OOH) display market in India, where the bulk of these display systems are currently imported, mainly from China”.

The manufacturing unit’s capacity is bolstered by two state-of-the-art SMT production lines that can manufacture over 20,000 square feet of LED screens per month. The company’s end-to-end technological capacity is backed by its robust R&D setup and a strong software development team that combine to energetically meet all the market demand. This ensures a 360° solution to all LED display requirements as they need to manage huge data loads of content for display across multiple screens in multiple locations simultaneously.

The Indian digital LED signage solutions industry is heavily dependent on imports currently, this set up is step towards making the LED display industry in India self-sufficient in terms of manufacturing ability to help the Indian OOH industry make the much-needed shift to DOOH and avoid costly and complex imports. Adding to the convenience, the  company will also free the local supply chain from the hassles of import regulations along with shipping and logistical challenges. They can procure the products locally from Ösel and other Indian manufacturers at drastically lower prices and pass on the cost advantage to customers.

The in-house development team at Ösel has created a unique software solution for managing dynamic and static content across multiple LED display screens. It is branded as ‘Donkey Player’ and it is designed to allow an authorised user to perform some key functions with the applications – Android app that functions both online and offline | Feature-rich content management system | On-board camera analytics
