Mark Metro bags exclusive advertising rights at 6 Chennai Metro stations
Digital OOH displays planned at the stations
Mark Metro, which holds exclusive media rights at 26 Chennai Metro stations, has now acquired exclusive media rights at 6 more metro stations in Chennai. Chennai Metro Railway Ltd (CMRL) has awarded the contract for 10 years, at newly- constructed stations — Washermanpet, Mannadi, High Court, Government Estates, LIC, and Thousand lights.
The firm used a variety of media formats at the Metro stations that include signage boards, and Platform Screen Doors (PSD) media. PSD branding is gaining traction, said R. Balamurugan, General Manager – Sales, Mark Metro.
Other than these media formats, backlit medians, pillar brandings, lift exterior brandings, non-lit and lit boards are also available at these stations, he said, adding that the top 5 Chennai Metro stations in terms of footfalls are Airport, Central, CMBT, Vadapalani, Alandur, Tirumangalam and Annanagar.
“We shall be introducing digital screens at these major stations in the next financial year.” added Balamurugan.
Balamurugan said that national brands are being drawn to this media, while adding that media at the station at the Chennai airport is particularly in high demand because of the profile of passengers on that line.
