Britannia Industries Limited has announced a significant restructuring of its marketing leadership following a Board of Directors meeting held on February 10, 2026. The company has appointed Puneet Das as Chief Marketing Officer, effective February 16, 2026, while elevating Siddharth Gupta to the role of Vice President – Marketing. This strategic realignment comes as the food giant seeks to leverage deep industry expertise to navigate a rapidly evolving consumer goods landscape across domestic and international markets.

Puneet Das brings over 24 years of extensive experience to the role, having led growth and brand transformation initiatives for major global and domestic players. His career includes senior leadership positions at Tata Consumer Products Limited, GSK Consumer Healthcare India, PepsiCo, and Marico Limited, where he worked on iconic brands such as Tata Tea, Horlicks, Boost, and 7Up. A graduate of St. Stephen’s College and an alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur, Das has also served as the Chairperson of the ASSOCHAM National Council on Branding & Marketing, further cementing his reputation as a strategist with a profound understanding of market dynamics.

Complementing this external appointment is the promotion of Siddharth Gupta, who has been with Britannia since 2018. Previously serving as General Manager – Marketing, Gupta’s elevation to Vice President reflects his successful management of the company’s core portfolio, including biscuits, wafers, and snacks. Before his tenure at Britannia, Gupta spent over a decade at Colgate-Palmolive, honing his skills in brand management and customer marketing. By pairing Puneet’s vast cross-category experience with Siddharth’s deep-rooted knowledge of Britannia’s internal operations, the company is well-positioned to drive innovation and sustain its market-leading presence in the FMCG sector.
