Sky Cinema scales up Christmas with massive 3D popcorn installation
The centerpiece of the build is a staggering 8-meter-tall popcorn box, overflowing with over 1,500 individual pieces of hand-painted popcorn.
Sky Cinema has brought a touch of cinematic magic to the streets this festive season with a larger-than-life OOH installation that redefines seasonal branding. To celebrate its Christmas line-up, the brand unveiled a massive, custom-built 3D display that turns the traditional movie-watching experience into a public spectacle.

The centerpiece of the build is a staggering 8-meter-tall popcorn box, overflowing with over 1,500 individual pieces of hand-painted popcorn. Every element was meticulously crafted to ensure a hyper-realistic texture, creating a visual that is impossible to miss. Adding a whimsical touch to the festive scene is a “very fluffy” giant bee, alongside the iconic Buddy the Elf, who appears to be scaling the massive structure.

This installation moves beyond standard OOH, functioning as a high-impact “special build” that encourages social sharing and public engagement. By focusing on craftsmanship and scale, Sky Cinema has created a landmark piece of advertising that captures the joy of holiday movies. The project stands as a testament to creative production, blending traditional hand-painted artistry with modern structural engineering to end the year on a high, cinematic note.
