Flipkart brings Big Billion Days to life at Bengaluru’s Metro
As Big Billion Days 2026 approaches, Flipkart is taking its festive sale into the daily commute with a metro-led OOH execution that makes it look like a branded train is arriving with a load of deals.
Flipkart is bringing the anticipation around Big Billion Days 2026 out of the digital ecosystem and into Bengaluru’s metro network, turning a routine wait at Majestic Metro Station into a larger-than-life brand moment.
The execution uses high-powered projection technology across the wall opposite the platform, creating the optical illusion of a Flipkart-branded train pulling into the station. The moving projection carries the Big Billion Days branding across the apparent train, making it look as though the sale itself has arrived on the tracks.
The idea plays directly with the context of the medium. Commuters waiting for their train are presented with what initially appears to be another metro arriving, before the Flipkart branding and Big Billion Days message reveal the intervention. Flipkart and its teams have described it as a “BBD metro” bringing “Majestic Deals” to the station.
The placement also takes advantage of the natural dwell time at a metro platform. With the projected visual positioned directly across the tracks, commuters waiting for trains have a clear line of sight to the installation, allowing the moving train illusion to play out within the environment rather than simply appearing as a conventional station advertisement.
The execution was created by 22feet, with Signpost India involved in the OOH execution. The metro activation comes as Flipkart builds anticipation for this year’s Big Billion Days. The company announced its 2026 campaign, ‘Luck Badal Sakta Hai, Yahan Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai’, on September 16, with early access beginning October 8 and general access beginning October 9. The campaign, conceptualised by Leo Burnett, builds on Flipkart’s previous ‘Yahan Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai’ platform.
