7-Eleven is challenging perceptions around convenience-store coffee through a new OOH campaign that embraces consumer scepticism rather than trying to overcome it.

Created by The Corner Shop, 7-Eleven Australia’s newly launched in-house creative agency, the campaign centres on the line “Expect Nothing. Get Everything.” and encourages consumers to reconsider their assumptions about convenience-store coffee.

Rolled out across Melbourne, the campaign is prominently featured on JCDecaux small-format outdoor sites, including placements near Southern Cross Station, putting the message directly in front of commuters during key coffee consumption moments.

Instead of making bold product claims, the campaign leans into a simple consumer truth: many Australians have surprisingly low expectations of convenience-store coffee. By acknowledging that perception rather than fighting it, the creative invites people to try the product and judge it for themselves.

Coffee remains a significant category for 7-Eleven Australia, with the retailer serving more than 50 million cups annually. The campaign therefore focuses on driving consideration among consumers who may not currently associate the brand with quality coffee.

The OOH execution relies on clean layouts, concise copy, and a confident tone that allows the central idea to stand out. Designed for quick comprehension in a fast-moving environment, the campaign uses simplicity to create intrigue and encourage product trial.
