MADC invites bids for advertising rights at Amravati Airport
Maharashtra Airport Development Company Ltd. has invited bids for a 24-month advertising rights licence outside the terminal building at Amravati Airport, with 1,032 sq. ft. of advertising space and a minimum reserved licence fee of ₹1 lakh per month.
Maharashtra Airport Development Company Ltd. (MADC) has floated a tender for the allotment of advertising rights outside the terminal building at Amravati Airport on a leave and licence basis. The opportunity covers a mix of conventional hoardings, pole hoardings and electric standies, with the successful bidder required to establish and operate the advertising structures at the designated locations.
The tender offers a total advertising area of 1,032 sq. ft., comprising large-format hoardings, pole hoardings and electric standies across designated locations outside the terminal building.
MADC has set the minimum reserved licence fee at ₹1 lakh per month, plus GST for the entire advertising space. The successful bidder will be selected on the basis of the highest licence fee quoted, subject to meeting the tender’s eligibility and technical requirements.
The licence period is set at 24 months, with an option for extension up to 36 months at MADC’s discretion, subject to satisfactory performance. A minimum 12-month lock-in period will apply. The successful bidder must establish and start operations at the allotted space within 30 days of receiving the Letter of Acceptance.
The opportunity is open to sole proprietorship firms, partnership firms, LLPs, private limited companies and public limited companies registered in India. Bidders must have experience in similar operations, with at least one operational contract during the preceding five years, and must have achieved an average annual turnover of ₹10 lakh over the last three financial years.
MADC has also laid out specific conditions around the development and operation of the inventory. The locations, design, aesthetics, structures and content of hoardings and other advertising displays will require MADC approval. Existing hoarding structures may be used only after submission of a structural stability report from a Chartered Structural Engineer; structures failing the stability audit will have to be replaced by the successful bidder at its own cost.
Amravati Airport is being developed by MADC under the UDAN-RCS scheme, with the tender document noting that the Mumbai–Amravati–Mumbai route has been allotted to Alliance Air. MADC says a new terminal building is being constructed at the airport and that the advertising opportunity is being created as part of the commercial spaces planned around passenger facilities.
With a defined mix of large-format hoardings, smaller pole-mounted inventory and electric standies, the tender provides an opportunity for an OOH operator to establish and manage an airport advertising network at Amravati for an initial two-year term, with the possibility of extension.
