Tata Motors has appointed Ejaz Takey as Head of SUV Marketing, marking a major executive transition between two of India’s prominent automotive manufacturers. Ejaz announced the move via a LinkedIn post, concluding a 15-year tenure at Mahindra & Mahindra where he held various leadership roles across brand management and sales. 

Sharing the update on Linkedin, Ejaz wrote, “From Indian Automotive Brand to Another. Glad to share I have joined Tata Motors as Head for SUV Marketing. Looking forward to this exciting new chapter and the opportunities ahead.” 

Prior to this appointment, Ejaz served as the Head of Brand for Mahindra & Mahindra’s Automotive Sector since September 2022, overseeing consumer branding and brand strategy initiatives. His extensive experience with the company also includes serving as Senior Brand Manager for the Scorpio, alongside managing prominent portfolios like the Bolero, Supro Maxitruck, and Supro Minitruck. Additionally, he handled regional sales processes and customer satisfaction initiatives for Mahindra’s North and East zones. 

Earlier in his career, Ejaz worked with Nissan Motor India as a Student Brand Manager and completed a summer internship at Autocar India. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in Marketing from the Welingkar Institute of Management.
