Netflix India appoints Vamsi Murthy as Senior Director-Marketing
Before joining Netflix, he served as the Executive Director and Head of Marketing at JioStar for nearly four years.
Netflix has appointed seasoned marketing leader Vamsi Murthy as the new Senior Director, Head of Marketing for its India operations. Vamsi confirmed the strategic career move on LinkedIn, marking a major leadership change for the streaming giant in one of its most critical international markets.
Vamsi Murthy brings extensive experience to the role, having held significant leadership positions across India’s media and e-commerce landscape. Before joining Netflix, he served as the Executive Director and Head of Marketing at JioStar for nearly four years. His career history also includes prominent roles at major companies such as BookMyShow, ZEE5, Myntra–Jabong, and MakeMyTrip.com.
Commenting on his new challenge at the streaming giant, Vamsi expressed enthusiasm about the path ahead. He stated, “Thrilled to share that I’ve joined Netflix to lead the Marketing charter in India.
