With nearly two decades of experience across brand strategy and marketing, Mehak joins the QSR giant from Godrej Consumer Products (GCPL), where she was serving as Global Brand Equity Lead – Personal Care & Global Effectiveness. She had also spearheaded global brand equity initiatives for the company’s Hair & Air portfolio.

Before transitioning to the brand side, Mehak spent over 15 years at DDB Mudra Group, holding leadership roles including National Strategy Head at 22feet Tribal Worldwide and Vice President – Strategy at DDB Mudra Group. Over the years, she worked on several marquee brands including McDonald’s, Lipton, Disney+ Hotstar, Future Group, Femina, Godrej and LIC.

Mehak shared news of her appointment through a LinkedIn post, offering a glimpse into her induction journey at McDonald’s. Instead of beginning in the boardroom, she spent her initial weeks understanding restaurant operations firsthand—making burgers, serving customers and handling deliveries.

Reflecting on the experience, she noted that understanding the people and processes behind the brand was essential before taking on the responsibility of shaping its narrative.

She further described McDonald’s as one of the rare brands that transcends generations and remains deeply embedded in everyday life, despite being studied in business schools and admired across boardrooms.
