The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) has invited bids for the licensing of exclusive advertising rights on Agra Metro trains operating on Corridor-1 of the Agra Metro network. The opportunity is being offered through Tender No. AGAR-12 and covers advertising rights across trainsets running on the corridor.

The tender seeks a licensee for a period of three years, with provisions for extension subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement between both parties.

According to the tender document, the rights include inside advertising across four trainsets comprising three coaches each, along with outside advertising and train wrapping rights on three trainsets. Upon the full operationalisation of Corridor-1 between Taj East Gate and Sikandra, the inventory is expected to expand to ten trainsets for interior advertising and four trainsets for train wrapping opportunities.

UPMRC has adopted a two-packet bidding process comprising technical and financial evaluation. Interested bidders must demonstrate an average annual turnover of at least ₹1.38 crore over the last three financial years and should have prior experience in executing advertising projects across sectors such as metro systems, airports, railways, highways, transport networks, stadiums, commercial complexes or similar environments.

The minimum annual guarantee (MAG) has been set at Rs. 32.31 lakh (excluding GST) for interior advertising rights and Rs. 47.09 lakh (excluding GST) for train wrapping rights under the initial inventory package.

The bid document is available through the Central Public Procurement Portal, with submissions scheduled to close on July 21, 2026. Technical and financial bids will be evaluated separately, with the highest eligible bidder being awarded the advertising rights.

The development presents another significant transit media opportunity in North India, allowing advertisers to leverage the growing commuter base of the Agra Metro network through exclusive train-based branding formats.
