The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) has opened a new out-of-home advertising tender inviting bids for co-branding and inside advertising rights across fifteen metro stations on Corridor-1 of the Kanpur Metro Rail Project, connecting IIT Kanpur to Naubasta.

Issued under Tender ID: 2026_UPMRC_265845_1, the opportunity allows advertisers and media operators to secure branding presence within the metro environment — a high-footfall transit ecosystem that offers repeated visibility among daily commuters. The scope includes station-level co-branding as well as indoor advertising formats across the selected stations within the UPMRC network.

According to the tender details, the submission process begins on March 16, 2026, and closes on March 26, 2026. Interested bidders can access and submit the tender through the government procurement portal www.etenders.gov.in. Participants are required to create a login on the portal and register their digital signature in order to proceed with the bid submission.

Metro advertising continues to emerge as a premium transit OOH format, offering brands high dwell time, targeted urban audiences, and multiple touchpoints across the commuter journey. Opportunities such as these allow media companies to build integrated station branding solutions while tapping into the growing metro infrastructure across Indian cities.
