OAC
On creating iconic city spaces and more
Next in Candid Chats@Backstage OAC 2026, Junaid Shaikh, Managing Director, RoshanSpace Brandcom, speaks about supporting OAC, creating memorable OOH spaces and the role of aesthetics, technology and contextual communication in shaping the cities people move through.
For Junaid, OAC represents the artistic side of an industry that increasingly sits at the intersection of art and science. As one of the convention’s long-standing supporters, he sees the platform as an important space for the OOH industry to come together, exchange ideas and showcase cutting-edge work. He also spoke about RoshanSpace’s ambition to continue pushing the boundaries of what can be created in the medium, while acknowledging that large-scale, award-winning innovations often come with significant investments.
He described RoshanSpace’s approach as that of a “boutique heritage out of home company”, with an ambition that extends beyond simply building advertising spaces. Junaid spoke about creating aesthetically strong and enduring environments that become part of the city itself, while bringing together beauty, technology, communication and contextual advertising. For him, the objective is to create spaces that people recognise, remember and experience as they move through the city.
