Kamlesh Rao, MD & CEO of ABSLI, to throw light on brand journey with OOH at OAC 2025

Kamlesh Rao, the Managing Director & CEO of Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance (ABSLI), is set to deliver a compelling address at the OOH Advertising Convention (OAC) 2025. A distinguished leader in the Banking & Financial Services industry with a career spanning 25 years, Kamlesh Rao will share insights on ‘Driving new narratives for the brand with OOH – The ABSLI Journey.’ 

At ABSLI, Kamlesh Rao is responsible for charting strategic direction and spearheading the team towards rapid growth and profitability. His expertise encompasses business expansion, developing innovative business models, enhancing distribution efficiency, creating value through efficient cost and process management, crafting competitive product strategies, scaling digital operations, and strengthening the customer lifetime value proposition. Additionally, Kamlesh chairs the Insurance Awareness Council, a key committee within the Life Insurance Council dedicated to promoting life insurance awareness across India.

Prior to  his current role, Kamlesh served as the Managing Director & CEO – Retail at Kotak Securities Limited, where he played a pivotal role in planning and executing strategic initiatives and driving growth for Secondary Markets, Primary Markets, Margin funding, and investment product distribution.   

His extensive 19-year tenure at Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited saw him hold various positions across asset and liability portfolios, including retail lending, business loans, mortgages, and HNI banking. A Management graduate with an Engineering degree, Kamlesh also served on prestigious committees such as the NSE & BSE Advisory Committees. As a part of the Senior Management Team at Aditya Birla Capital and a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Aditya Birla Finance Limited, Kamlesh is keenly focused on propelling ABSLI to a leadership position in the private life insurance sector. His session will offer unique perspectives on how a major financial brand leverages Out-of-Home to forge impactful new narratives.

Scheduled for July 18-19, 2025, at The Westin Mumbai Powai Lake, the 19th OOH Advertising Convention (OAC) 2025 promises to be a pivotal gathering for the Out-of-Home industry. Under the compelling theme ‘Mapping a New OOH-scape,’ this year’s convention will deep-dive into the future of the OOH medium, examining cutting-edge technological advancements, evolving consumer behaviors, and novel creative approaches that are shaping the sector. 

Running concurrently with the main convention, the OAC Expo will offer attendees a comprehensive showcase of the latest solutions and innovations driving the OOH industry forward. The convention will culminate on the evening of July 19, 2025, with the prestigious OOH Advertising Awards (OAA) 2025 ceremony, dedicated to honoring outstanding achievements and inspiring excellence across the Out-of-Home advertising landscape.
