NIC Ice Cream brings 3D anamorphic campaign to Kolkata’s Durga Puja
The campaign is executed by Ideacafe agency
NIC Ice Cream, a brand under Walko Food Company Pvt. Ltd., has embraced the festive spirit of Durga Puja in Kolkata by launching an innovative advertising campaign in partnership with Ideacafe. Known for its focus on authentic ingredients and superior taste, NIC Ice Cream took its festive outreach to new heights by incorporating cutting-edge 3D anamorphic renditions in outdoor displays, offering a unique experience for the city’s residents and visitors.
The campaign was showcased across 13 large-format screens in key locations, including the bustling intersections of Samaj Sebi and Ballygunge, two of Kolkata’s most culturally vibrant areas during Durga Puja. These OOH (Out-Of-Home) displays, reminiscent of those in Times Square, brought a global standard of visual engagement to the local festivities, amplifying the appeal of NIC Ice Cream’s range. The synchronised displays created a visually immersive experience, capturing the attention of festival-goers and passersby alike.
Further adding to the campaign’s impact, NIC Ice Cream extended its presence to the iconic Mudiali Club Durga Puja. At the club’s entrance, three large synchronised screens displayed dynamic content that further enhanced the festive atmosphere. This marked the first time such international-standard 3D anamorphic content had been used during Kolkata’s Durga Puja, setting a new benchmark for creative advertising in the city.
Sanjiv Shah, Director of Walko Food Company, expressed his enthusiasm for the campaign, stating, “We were delighted to join the festive fervour of Durga Puja Celebrations in Kolkata, one of our key markets, and are happy with the seamless & innovative execution of reaching our consumers brought by ideacafe.” His comments highlight the importance of the Kolkata market for NIC Ice Cream, and the brand’s commitment to engaging with consumers in meaningful and visually striking ways during key cultural moments.
Nabendu Bhattacharyya, founder of Ideacafe, remarked on the company’s extensive involvement in the celebrations, explaining, “Through its inhouse 3D and anamorphic content developers Ideacafe collaborated with several brands extending unique advertising offerings which included unique tunnel displays, experiential zones, gate arches, adda zone and big facades, food zone branding and more. Ideacafe pledges to scale up its Durga Puja association further in Kolkata in coming years and other major cities as well. We enjoyed collaborating with puja committees, our 75 members team delivered what we believe to be the most differentiated advertising opportunities seen at the Kolkata Durga Puja celebrations in its entire history.”
