WR’s maiden ‘Promotion on Wheels’ special train goes Housefull

Branded by M/s Fox Star Studios, a special train has been rolled out for promotion & publicity of Art, Culture, Cinema, Television, Sports etc

For promotion & publicity of Art, Culture, Cinema, Television, Sports etc. the Railways have come out with unique & novel initiative to publicize and promote publicity campaigns and promotions through trains. In continuation to this, the first ever "Promotion o¬n Wheels" Special Train by IRCTC and Western Railway has been conducted in coordination with major production house M/s Fox Star Studios to promote the much-awaited film Housefull 4. The production houses branded the entire train running between mumbai Central to New Delhi with Housefull 4 movie promotion. Alongside to accelerate the excitement, the movie cast including Akshay Kumar and other leading crew travelled by this 8-coach special train.

According to a press release issued by Shri Ravinder Bhakar – Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, highlighted, “As the Special Train will pass through several states and important districts like Surat, Vadodara, Kota stations enroute, it is sure to garner wide publicity amongst the viewers and media at these popular railway stations/junctions enroute. In this connection the railways have approached many major production houses with upcoming films to use these FTR (Full Tariff Rates) trains to facilitate Pan-India publicity and promotions of films across the length and breadth of the country. Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) shall be the nodal agency for handling such trains.”

Housefull 4IRCTC will undertake attractive and thematic Vinyl Wrapping of these promotional trains, keeping in view that the trains will be crisscrossing across the country and sure shot publicity and wide mileage would benefit both the production houses and bring laurels to Indian Railways as a mass publicity vehicle. This initiative thus would be a win-win situation for both the production houses and the Indian Railways.

In fact, the railway minister Piyush Goal took the twitter platform to encourage more filmmakers to use this route to reach out to the masses.
