World Out of Home Organization's 1st Africa Forum on Feb 3

The virtual conference will feature speakers from Africa and outside, covering all aspects of the Africa OOH industry and its place in the wider media market

The World Out of Home Organization's first Africa Forum, to be held virtually on Thursday February 3, will provide the most in-depth focus to date on the Africa OOH market and its place in the global industry.

The Forum is the third in WOO"s World Tour which began in Europe then visited Asia and culminates after Africa with WOO's in-person Global Congress in Toronto on May 25-27.

The Africa Forum has an extensive line-up of speakers from Africa and outside, covering all aspects of the Africa OOH industry and its place in the wider media market.

The keynote is an interview between OMG General Manager Celia Collins and WOO President Tom Goddard. Ben Milne, head of Out of Home at Amplifi Global, the supply side platform of dentsu International, will put African OOH in a global context followed by Jacques Du Preez of Provantage Media with an African market overview.

Greg Benetar, Group Director of Alliance Media, present in over 50 African countries. will discuss investment in the African OOH industry and the various issues confronting it in the future including regulation and devaluing currencies. 

There will be a panel on Audience Measurement with GROOH's Gideon Adey, Trish Guilford from the Out of Home Measurement Council (OMC) in Africa and Jorja Wilkins of Primedia Outdoor. This will be followed by Pikasso founder Antonio Vincenti on the need for Standardisation of OOH Formats across Africa.

A panel from Broadsign, Pikasso and Tractor Outdoor will examine progress in Automation and Programmatic and JCDecaux Africa Country Managers Jennifer Kachabe and Thato Pekeche will present ‘Sustainability - A shared responsibility’.
