Patna MC striking at rooftop media

The civic authority has issued notice to owners of buildings that have rooftop media, asking them to furnish building structural certificates, failing which due action will be taken against them
The Patna Municipal Corporation has issued notices to building owners in the city who have provided space for rooftop hoardings. The urban local body has asked the building owners to furnish the structural stability certificates within 10 days, failing which not only the rooftop structures but the entire building itself would be deemed illegal.
Hence, owners of buildings having rooftop media sites are shying away from allowing advertising there, and instead are looking to remove the advertising structures.
A certain segment of the OOH trade in Patna believe this move will edge unauthorised operators, giving a boost to authorised media that is in business.
