OAAA exploring safeguards for US OOH business

By M4G Bureau - March 25, 2020

The OOH industry could benefit from the government stimulus packages and other spends

Outdoor Advertising Association of America (OAAA) is taking strident steps to safeguard the business interests of the US OOH industry. The industry body has retained an outside lobbyist to advocate for the OOH industry as US Congress considers a series of stimulus packages and government agencies begin spending stimulus funds.

Anna Bager OAAA President & CEO has stated: “This firm and its principal have worked previously for our industry (Barbour Griffith & Rogers, now known as BGR Group, led by former Governor Haley Barbour). They will provide strategic advice on stimulus categories such as small business, tax, aviation, transit, and paid-government messaging to communicate with the public.”

OAAA is compiling evidence of economic injury to OOH business (due to mobility restrictions) as well as the advantages OOH advertising provide in terms of government messaging.
