MHOA supports Maharashtra civic body for new Covid-control-campaign

By Bhawana Anand - September 18, 2020

The association has planned to provide around 800 vacant sites to MCGM for their new campaign ‘My Family My Responsibility’

Mumbai Hoardings Owners Association (MHOA) has come forward to support the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) for their new campaign ‘My Family My Responsibility’. The association has decided to provide between 700 and 800 vacant sites to the civic body to promote the new campaign aimed to fight against Covid19 as Maharashtra reels under Corona scare.

The campaign will be implemented across the state under the guidance of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. The campaign aims to reach out to each and every family residing in Mumbai and provide medical assistance and guidance if needed and also to motivate more and more people to adopt a new lifestyle. Its main objective is to achieve healthcare education for controlling of the pandemic, as told by Iqbal Singh Chahal, Municipal Commissioner.

Talking to Media4Growth, Khalid Battliwala, President of MHOA, said, “We are quite pleased with the opportunitu to back up our frontline warriors in the fight against Covid19 by supporting our civic body at these trying times. We have urged our members to provide sites for this social cause which has shaken the lives of everyone.”

Since the OOH industry is starting to pick up again with a few brands considering outdoor media in their plans, commercial bookings will also be taken for these sites. And once the commercial campaign gets over, the MCGM campaign will reappear on the sites. “This is a very crucial time for the OOH industry. Since our business has just resumed this month, we have clearly mentioned to MCGM that only the vacant sites will be available for their campaign, to which they have been fully supportive”, shared Khalid Batliwala.

Prior to this, in March, the MHOA had offered close to 200 sites for an extensive OOH campaign to fight against the pandemic.
