Lockdown delays Green OOH manufacturing progress

By Pray Jani - April 17, 2020

Arvind - Advanced Material Division maintains fabric manufacturing as a priority to kick-start business post the lockdown period

Fabric manufacturers catering to the OOH industry find themselves in a bind, like all other constituents of the industry, in the face of the lockdowns. Over the last year and more, many of the fabric manufacturers were hoping to seize the market opportunities that stem from regulatory curbs on PVC flex for advertising, but the total lockdown has put paid to those hopes. However, Arvind - Advanced Material Division which is responsible for manufacturing fabric material still remains an important point of focus for the company. As the government plans to lift the curbs on many such manufacturing activities, Arvind would be able to resume all its manufacturing activities as per the company mandate.

Arindham Dasgupta, Business Head – Coating, Arvind says, " There are already orders lined up, and in a couple of days after the lockdown is lifted, pur priority will be to supply the material to our customers. We are sticking to the government protocols right now which is why our mills are on a standstill."

It is seen that Arvind, along with the rest of the OOH industry, is making efforts in the positive direction. With the lockdown, although they are missing out on some key clients, agencies and solution providers are expecting a quick recovery. “Within a short period, things will get back to normal through the dedicated efforts of the leaders of our industry. We are staying positive right now. The lockdown is the government’s protocol to bring things under control. We at Arvind- Advanced Material Division strongly support it and ensuring that our team follows it too,” said Arindham.
