Kanhiya Advertisers bags sole media rights in 13 towns of Punjab

By Bhawana Anand - June 07, 2017

The OOH firm expects a good response from both local and national advertisers in keeping with the increasing presence of notable brands in the smaller markets

Kanhiya Advertisers has won the sole advertising rights on unipoles and kiosks in 13 towns as a cluster spread across Punjab as per tendering done by the local municipal body. The OOH firm, having won the contract for 5 years, will be installing new media units as well as operating the existing media.

This was the first time the local civic body had created a cluster of media across different towns of Punjab. Kanhiya Advertisers outbid 4 other firms to win the rights.

“We have got 1 month’s duration to complete the project so we have initiated the installation work and have acquired the existing media. This acquisition is going to enhance our media bouquet in the market,” said Deepak Singhla, Proprietor, Kanhiya Advertisers.

Considering the brand penetration happening in the small regions, Deepak is quite optimistic of garnering good business. He said: “We are expecting good response from both local advertisers and national advertisers such as cola brands and FMCG which are exploring the small markets. In fact, we have rolled out a campaign for Wonder Cement brand”.

Deepak is looking to tap advertising through agencies and with direct client engagements. “This kind of expansion gives us the confidence to pitch to clients directly”.
