In the ‘Have Your Say’ poll conducted by Media4Growth, it was seen that the OOH industry has a positive outlook for the coming times
The announcement made by the Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan regarding the COVID 19 vaccination drive beginning January 2021, has ushered in some positivity in the Indian OOH business.
In the ‘Have Your Say’ poll conducted by Media4Growth, approximately 60% of outdoor concessionaires agreed that COVID19 vaccine can lead to a surge in Indian OOH Industry, 10% disagreed with the statement, while the rest 30% were undecided on the vaccination impact on the outdoor business.
The expectation is that with vaccination in place, the restrictions by the government regarding different touchpoints such as cinema houses, metro trains, corporate parks and various others will be relaxed, eventually bringing back the footfalls at par with pre-COVID19 times.
Besides, it has been observed that brands are willing to spend on outdoor advertisements in cities where the virus spread is under control and people movement is getting eased. These include tier II cities such as Aurangabad, Nashik, Patna, Lucknow and Ludhiana, which are already receiving satisfactory advertising budgets from brands.
