By M4G Bureau - May 31, 2018

The advertising rights for 16 stations on DMRC’s Yellow line have been bagged by Hindustan Publicity and Focus Media in a joint venture. Line 2 is an important travel route for commuters from North & Central Delhi to South Delhi & Gurgaon

Recently tendered by DMRC, the advertising rights for 16 Stations on Line 2 (Yellow line) from Patel Chowk to Arjangarh via Hauz Khas have been bagged by the joint venture of Hindustan Publicity & Focus Media. These 16 stations include stretch from Patel Chowk station to Arjangarh station including underground Stations of Patel Chowk, CTST, Udyog Bhawan, Lok Kalyan Marg, Jor Bagh, INA, AIIMS, Green Park, Hauz Khas, Malviya Nagar, Saket and overhead Stations at Qutab Minar, Chattarpur, Ghitorni, Sultanpur & Arjangarh. The contract has been awarded for a duration of nine years. Both the companies, along with their another JV partner Innovation Advertising are planning to form a SPC (Special Purpose Compamy) to handle this project, which will fulfill the sales, marketing & other responsibilities of this contract.

While confirming the news, Ritesh Vasudeva, Chief Executive of Hindustan Publicity, elaborated that this entire stretch is the most crucial travelling destination of Delhi and DMRC as it includes key high-footfall centric locations including 3 interchange stations at CTST, INA and Hauz Khas. The Hauz Khas station is slated to be the next biggest interchange station for Delhi Metro with the recent opening of Line 8.

All these stations allow various advertising opportunities starting from backlit signages of different sizes at entry/exits, Concourse & Platform levels, which can also be converted into digital displays. However, Ritesh emphasized that the biggest influential aspect will be the demand from the client’s side for this.  Additionally, spaces can be made available by canopy set up for activations/BTL/e-commerce inside the station premises and utilise areas with high dwell-time such as concourse and platforms in an effective manner.
