EG Communications bags train branding rights with DMRC

EG Communications has won inside and outside branding rights of metro trains running on Line 5 and 6 of DMRC.

Delhi-based outdoor media owner EG Communications Pvt Ltd has bagged the rights for the Inside branding and outside wrappings of metro trains running on Line 5 and 6 for next 10 years. Line 5 of Delhi Metro rail Coprporation (DMRC) covers the 18.46 km stretch between Inderlok to Mundka offering the branding opportunities with a total number of 18 trains, while Line 6 covers some 35 km stretch between ITO to Escort Mujesar with a total number of 38 trains running on the stretch.
 
Praveen Gupta, Director, EG Communications, explained, "We are very happy to announce this news as it is like adding one more feather in our cap. Now, we solely takes care of metro trains branding of all the operating lines. The reason of investing on these lines was that Line 5 covers north to west delhi which caters to NCR region and Line 6 covers the heritage part along with south delhi which again caters to NCR region. We saw a huge potential on these lines as it covers some major stations and will expand till kashmeri gate in this year only which will surely extend the total no. of commuters. Along with it, we are also planning to expand in other cities as well,” said  Praveen Gupta, Director, EG Communications.
 
Adding more opportunities to this win, Line 5 will further extend from Inderlok to Bahadurgarh by end of this year adding 7 more stations and Line 6 is slated to extend from Kashmeri Gate to Ballabhgarh adding 6 more station. DMRC also plans to mark Line 6 as heritage line as it covers stations like Lal Quila, Jama Masjid, Kashmiri Gate etc.

"We have been associated with DMRC since 2002. We already have rights for metro branding on Line1,2 and 3,4 and after adding Line 5 and 6, we now have almost the whole of operational metro network branding with us,” Gupta added.
