The fast food QSR brand optimises its outdoor ads with the power of digital media

One of the innovative OOH advertisers across the globe, Burger King never disappoints with its creativity and effective ways to optimize different advertising channels. In these trying times, where OOH advertisements are hardly seen by the target audience due to the restriction on the movement, the fast-food QSR chain has brought its OOH advertisement onto the digital platform with a witty message and cool offer.

Understanding the trend of video calling increasing in an emergence to stay connected with colleagues and family, the brand has rolled out an offer to use the image of their hoarding ad in the backdrop of video call and stand a chance to win a Whopper coupon. The campaign was created by David Buenos Aires.

On Twitter, the brand posted “Everyone’s staying inside, and our billboards are going to waste with no one out there to see them. sooo we made backgrounds. use these on a video call, post a screenshot with @BurgerKing and #HomeOfTheBillboards & we’ll DM you a BOGO Whopper coupon for being our new #ad”. Along with this, the brand also provided images of its various advertising campaigns for the people to download.

Indeed, the post picked up on twitter where people can be seen posting the screenshots of their video calls with Burger King hoarding images in the background.
