Burger King turns mask into branding tool

By M4G Bureau - August 13, 2020

The QSR brand is providing a custom-printed version of orders printed on a face mask to customers

A known quick service restaurant (QSR) brand, Burger King has turned an obstacle into a new media opportunity. In Belgium, the brand is utilising to display orders already placed through facebook and Instagram to avoid communication between customers and staff members member behind the counter or through the drive-thru when ordering ensuring safety intact.

Ideated by Parisian agency Buzzman, the mask branding is quite spreading organically as people continue to wear them even outside the food joint and also creating buzz through social media.

Consumers, who place their orders in advance on Facebook or Instagram via Burger King’s “Safe Order” service, will receive a custom-printed version of their order written on a face mask so that when they show up to pick up their order.

The face masks are printed with messages like: A large whopper combo, fries and diet coke please and Could I just take a sweet chilli sauce please?  With the brand logo.
