Brands stand to support COVID -19 Warriors

Various brands are recognising the efforts invested by the COVID-19 warriors fighting around the clock to save the nation from virus

COVID relief: Mumbai Police receive 6,000 healthy nutrient-rich Munchilicious Granola packs from Rohit Mohan Pugalia, Promoter & CEO, SOCH Foods LLP (in white shirt)With the enforcement of essential lockdown to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the country, the team of police force is making a significant contribution to make this curfew successful and save people from this pandemic by working 24x7 in each state and union territory. Brands, which have a back seat in making an appearance during this global crisis, are definitely coming out to support these COVID-19 warriors in their own ways.

To acknowledge the efforts of the real heroes who are rendering fearless services as doctors, nurses, policemen, paramedical staff, sanitation workers, government officials and other essential services, Bisleri has pledged to offer free packaged mineral water to them across India.

Free packs of bottles have already been distributed across hospitals, police stations and traffic signals in West Bengal, Maharashtra, Delhi, UP, Karnataka, Telangana, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. The company aims to cover more areas and distribute free water to people in other essential services as well.

All the people on the frontline fighting are doing a commendable job guarding the nation. We want to ensure that essential supplies like safe and clean drinking water is available to them so they stay hydrated at the same time reduce their exposure to contaminated water surfaces.”

In Bangalore, Embassy Group has stepped forward to support the Bengaluru City Traffic Police, tasked with enforcing the nation-wide lockdown to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Identifying the zones around Embassy Manyata Business Park, Embassy Tech Village, Embassy Icon and Embassy Paragon, Embassy Group has set up four hydration stations where the police personnel can take refreshing time breaks. The stations are equipped with drinking water, refreshments and toilet stops. In addition, Embassy Group has procured hand sanitizers, disposable masks and nutritional snacks through vendors vetted by the Traffic Police. The items have been handed over to the Headquarters and will be distributed daily over the next 8 days to the 44 stations and their 3,800-person task force.

 Aditya Virwani, Chief Operating Officer, Embassy Group, said, “In this time of extra-ordinary circumstances, it will take all of us to contain and lessen the impact of the virus. With our police and healthcare professionals at the forefront of controlling the spread, felt that it was our duty to support them in performing their duties. I would like to request other companies and Bangalore’s citizens to come forward to join us in helping out.”

Dr. B. R. Ravikanthe Gowda, Joint Commissioner of Traffic, Bengaluru City Traffic Police, added, “We were very grateful and pleasantly surprised when we were approached by Embassy Group to offer their support to our Entire force. As the traffic police personnel are working day and night to contain the spread of the corona virus, we are taking precautions to safeguard their health too. We requested Embassy to provide safety equipment, sanitizers and a nutririous snack to sustain them during this very difficult period. In addition, Embassy organised four hydrating points across the city where our personnel could take much needed breaks. Such acts of kindness and generosity has really been encouraging and motivation to the entire force.”
