Ajay Mehta will be addressing the convention on the theme of ‘Cinema & OOH advertising: The big picture’

Cinema provides targeted, compelling marketing opportunities for brands to connect with a highly attentive audience, with multiple consumer touchpoints. Keeping in view the great scope for creating innovative and immersive advertising opportunities in the Cinema environment, Ajay Mehta, Founder & MD, Interactive Television (iTV), and MD, Kinetic India will be addressing the upcoming 2-day Outdoor Advertising Convention (OAC) on the theme of ‘Cinema & OOH advertising: The big picture’.

Ajay joins a list of illustrious panel of thought leaders who will be speaking at OAC 2022, to be held at Westin, Powai Lake, Mumbai on August 17-18, 2022.

In his presentation, Ajay will be touching upon aspects like how Cinema is adding value and new dimensions to the ‘attention economy’ that brands and marketers are constantly tracking; how new technologies are helping Cinema to offer unique, innovative and immersive advertising experiences; Can Cinema advertising link up with other DOOH networks, and what is the scope of programmatic DOOH advertising in the Cinema environment.

Ajay founded Interactive in his early twenties and built it from the ground up to become India’s largest Cinema on screen advertising company. It was acquired by WPP and is now an integrated part of Group M India. Interactive has been at the forefront of transforming cinema advertising from being perception based to being a data driven and digitally charged medium.

Interactive under the leadership of Ajay has launched a number of Tools to ensure predictability, monitoring and measurement in an otherwise data dark business. This includes a Movie Opening Predictor called Buzz Index, a cinema monitoring system called CAM and a ROI calculator called Ad Impact. All these tools and more are all present on arguably the world’s first cinema data platform called Cinema in a Box.

Interactive has the privilege of working with a number of world class clients such as Google, Netflix, Facebook, Loreal, Pepsi, Aditya Birla Group, amongst others.

Ajay is also in charge of Kinetic Worldwide’s India business. Kinetic is a global leader in contextually connecting and activating audiences on the move. His goal is to work with industry leaders to transform the OOH space into a transparent business with high measurability and world class tools.

Ajay is a graduate from SRCC and has done an executive education program from Harvard Business School. He has in the past floated an online movie ticketing business which was acquired by Indya.Com a News Corp company at the inceptions stage itself.
