Air passenger traffic volume in India rises 62.9% in Aug-Nov 2021

Air passenger traffic volume in India, an aggregate of domestic and international passenger movement at Indian airports, has seen a steady growth, from 14.26 million in August 2021, to 15.44 million in September 2021, and thereafter a steeper climb to 19.64 million in October 2021, and 23.23 million in November 2021. The total traffic has increased by 62.90% in the four month period, from August to November 2021

While international passenger movement increased by 13.06% in November 2021 at 2.51 million compared to 2.22 million in October 2021, domestic passenger movement increased by 18.94% at 20.72 million in November 2021 from 17.42 million in October 2021.

The steady increase in domestic passenger traffic volume is particularly significant for the airport advertising business, as the majority of advertising brands target their campaigns to resident Indians.
