Interactive solutions augmenting user experience

Thomas Amilien, CEO & Co-Founder, Clay AIR maintains that augment reality (AR) / virtual reality (VR) applications could be used in much bigger ways in the advertising space today, more so in the Covid-19 impacted period where consumers would prefer to maintain social distancing while in public space, and not physically interact with any interactive digital displays. Hand tracking and  gesture recognition would enable such interactions more freely, he says.

Hardware with good human machine interface (HMI) will give consumers rich experience, which is what Clay AIR aims to deliver in the advertising space. Thomas said that gesture recognition can be integrated with digital display solutions for advertising, in the same way as it works on the smartphone. The solution is versatile and can be applied on different devices.

“We are working in public spaces and places like airports where we take our solutions to the kiosks. We are looking at these opportunities to be leveraged in 2021,” said Thomas.

The company is in discussion with telecom majors and other companies for integration of Clay AIR solutions in smart city projects. The company is broadbasing its engagements with both OEMs and component manufacturers and developers in order to deliver superior user experiences. “We are working with the best engineers and PhD holders in France. Right now the level of accuracy and robustness of the solutions is high – 99% for hand recognition and 96% for gesture.”
