EverGlow sees strong business prospects in OOH space

By Shradha Mishra - October 22, 2018

In the wake of stringent norms governing flex displays, demand for digital displays is expected to go up

In the wake of urban local bodies tightening the screws on the OOH industry in regard to the use of flex for advertising displays, EverGlow LED, co-founded by Inder Kataria, sees significant market potential in the country for use of LED screens for OOH advertising. Speaking with Media4Growth, Inder said the unit cost of LED screens has progressively reduced which will also help generate more demand from the OOH industry. The company is working toward promoting use of HD LED display screens in the Indian OOH space. EverGlow sources its products from partner factories based in China.

Inder opines that as the market for LED display screens expands, several new players have entered the fray. However, most of them are offering products that are not properly certified. In the case of

EverGlow, it products are ISO and BIS certified. The company also caters to overseas markets like Middle East and Africa.

EverGlow undertakes a gamut of turnkey projects. “We have recently completed a project for the Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanam where there are more than 60 screens placed inside the temple complex and also outside to give information to devotees. We are also working on a traffic safety project for the Municipal Corporation of Asansol wherein we did the drawings, fabrication, foundation work and also installation and maintenance of the screen. At Asian Institute of Gastroenterology in Hyderabad we are undertaking an ultra-small pixel led display of Pitch 1.875 inside their Auditorium. We are also having a lease contract with a leading media company to remotely control and manage the Mumbai Traffic VMS boards”.

Speaking about some of the challenges that the firm confronts in the OOH space, Inder said, “Currently there are many confusing laws in each state about the use of outdoor LED displays in OOH business. There is a clear need of a single law outlining the various guidelines for installation and use of LED display screens for OOH. We also recommend that proper permissions may be given by concerned authorities for digitalisation of existing outdoor media.”
